Yet I can understand that if we do not put ourselves out there to be loving towards one another, how can we ever anticipate that others can/will love us? Seems like a two way street-yes? Not in the way that we define equal or fair.
I'm talking about being present to yourself and the love and generosity you allow yourself to experience. How is it that we can compliment others but hush people when they attempt to compliment us? The correct answer to a compliment is a smile and a grateful 'Thank you'. Thank you for acknowledging my shining moment just now, thank you for seeing me with kind eyes, thank you for accepting me no matter what.......whatever the compliment preceded.
Don't you just shine when you know that someone expects the best from you and will love you even if you don't reach the intended outsome? Because don't we all wilt in spirit when we're spoken to in harsh tones and insincere compliments?
The way I see it-it all begins with you, and guess what! It will all end with you too! So make hay while the sun shines Mamma Lil would always say. Because what you focus on expands-and for good things to come-we too must expand our own hearts.
